AIGLE flagship store à Paris

The first Aigle flagship shop, originally opened nearly 25 years ago, has been completely re-imagined to become a French family home in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

From the basement to the rafters, the space has been devised as a real family home with wood flooring, vintage wallpaper, a fireplace and a stove. In each room the décor, ambience and furniture are carefully chosen to correspond with the character of each part of the collection: There is a first floor boudoir for the women’s clothing, a smoking room for the men’s apparel, and the ultimate shop window for the Aigle know-how, the boot bar, which showcases the flagship rubber boot styles from traditional shades to the wildest of new colours.

At the back of the house, there is a greenhouse, like a city garden to house the men’s shoe collection and a magnetic wall for exhibitions and invitations. This new architectural concept for Aigle, which was imagined in collaboration with the architect Valerie Mazerat, also recalls the promise of the shops of yesteryear. Long counters behind which staff offer good advice and inspire customer loyalty complete this homely and democratic experience.
